New York City Schools Chancellor Carmen Fariña will present the April GSE Centennial Lecture titled Paying It Forward: A Commitment to Learning and Service. RSVP.
In her lecture, Chancellor Fariña will discuss the Department of Education’s Equity and Excellence for All initiatives that aim to improve student learning throughout the City, her call to service through teaching and leading, and her belief that every New York City public school student can achieve.
Of the event, Fariña said
“Public education is the foundation of our democracy and having well-trained, collaborative educators is vital. Fordham University’s Graduate School of Education is a critical partner in preparing school staff to meet the diverse needs of New York City students and it’s an honor to participate in the Graduate School of Education’s Centennial Lecture Series.”
