Westchester Campus Celebrates 40th Anniversary With Gratitude Reception

Fordham Westchester celebrated its 40th anniversary, along with the University’s dodransbicentennial and the Graduate Schools of Education and Social Service’s centennials, with a Fall Gratitude Reception.  The ceremony featured remarks from county and town officials, community partners, and Fordham faculty, staff, students, and alumni.

Fordham alumnus and Westchester County Executive Rob Astorino, a Fordham University kicked off the program by proclaiming November 10, 2016, Fordham University Westchester Recognition Day in Westchester County. Ron Belmont, Mayor of Harrison, spoke about the strong relationship between the town and University.

Twelve Westchester partners were honored with Community Leadership Awards for their deep connections to Fordham and its faculty, staff and students. GSE honorees included:

  • Noelle Beale, Regional Superintendent, Central Westchester Catholic Schools
  • Patricia Langan, Principal, Patricia A. DiChiaro School, Yonkers
  • Robert Maher, CEO, St. Christopher’s School, Dobbs Ferry
  • Arlene Moliterno, Ph.D., Clinical Professor, Curriculum and Teaching, Graduate School of Education
