SSRL Times Magazine published articles on self-regulated learning during the pandemic by Sean Adcroft, Ph.D., GSE ’18, Lauren Zucker, Ph.D., GSE ’18, and Nathan Snyder, Ph.D., GSE ’19, alumni of the GSE’s Contemporary Learning and Interdisciplinary Research (CLAIR) Ph.D. program.

Rashid F. Davis, GSE ’03, was recognized with the 2020 Mother Dovetta Leadership Award from the David and Dovetta Wilson Scholarship Fund. He was also recently featured in an IBM commercial for founding P-TECH high schools.

Two Fordham GSE alumni principals, Joann Heppt, GSE ’04, and Margaret Tyndall, GSE ’19, received “Lighting the Fire for Catholic Education” awards from the Catholic School Administrators Association of New York State.

Hakim J. Lucas, Ph.D., GSE ’10, is the 13th president of Virginia Union University. His innovative retention and recruitment initiative, Quest for the Best, has led to the highest retention percentage (90% from fall to spring semester) in the history of Virginia Union.
