Robert (Bob) Hagan, Ed.D., a graduate of Fordham’s Educational Leadership, Administration and Policy program, has been named superintendent of the Riverhead Central School District on Long Island. His appointment, effective July 1, follows a unanimous vote by the district’s Board of Education.
Hagan, who has served as assistant superintendent for human resources in the Longwood Central School District since 2020, brings more than two decades of experience as a teacher and administrator to his new role. In a recent interview, he emphasized the importance of listening, collaboration, and building on the district’s strengths—values that reflect Fordham’s own approach to educational leadership.
“The thing that’s very exciting is being able to work with, not only the students and the faculty and administrators, but also the community at large,” Hagan told RiverheadLOCAL. “We can accomplish anything.”
