Student Community Highlights
Keren Fefer Adler, Jennie Park-Taylor, Ph.D., and Stephanie Gutkin‘s poster presentation “Jewish Teachers’ Lived Experiences with Religious Microaggressions in Schools” was accepted for the 2020 APA Convention. The study examines how microagressions affect teachers’ careers and private lives.
GSE doctoral student Kathleen Doyle is conducting research into sexuality education for children with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
GSE master of science in teaching student Emily Paddon, head teacher of an 8-1-2 class at the Kennedy Children’s Center in the Bronx, was featured on WFUV discussing remote learning challenges of children with cognitive delays.
Counseling psychology doctoral student Anne Gentry Torell won APA Division 17 Health Psychology Section’s Student Research Award for her paper “Distress, sleep, and work demands of clinical and counseling psychology doctoral students.” Her project supervisor is Merle Keitel, Ph.D.
Seung Yu, a member the Fordham GSE educational leadership, administration, and policy (ELAP) doctoral program, was named principal of the elite Stuyvesant High School in New York City.
