The latest volume of the Journal of Multilingual Education Research (JMER), guest edited by Dr. Diane Rodriguez, focuses on bilingual special education. Dr. Rodriguez writes “The main goal of this special issue is to shed needed light on teaching and research currently implemented and explored in this field.”
Articles cover the latest research on evidence-based practices, scholarly examination of current policies, and how to move forward the education and the rights of multilingual students with disabilities.
With a growing population of bilingual special education students, both in New York state and nationally, this topic will be salient in the coming years.
