Fordham’s Center for Educational Partnerships to Lead Statewide Professional Development Initiative

0

Fordham University’s Center for Educational Partnerships (CEP) has been awarded the statewide leadership role for the Professional Development Resource Center (PDRC) for Religious and Independent Schools. This initiative, previously managed regionally by three organizations, now unites entirely under Fordham’s leadership, supporting over 1,800 schools across New York State.

The New York State Education Department launched a competitive Request for Proposals earlier this year to streamline the PDRC initiative under a single organization. Fordham was selected after a rigorous review process, marking a significant milestone in the University’s ongoing commitment to educational excellence and equity.

The PDRC is housed within the CEP, led by Associate Dean Anita Batisti, Ph.D. Stefanie B. Reda serves as Director, working closely with Program Associate Erin Cain and Administrative Assistant Najah Aziz. Together, the team is expanding professional development offerings, combining Fordham’s commitment to academic rigor, reflective teaching practices, and social justice with practical, accessible programming tailored to meet the needs of religious and independent schools.

The PDRC offers both in-person and virtual resources designed to empower educators with strategies and tools that foster inclusive, effective learning environments. This initiative reflects Fordham’s dedication to advancing professional development and supporting communities across the state.
