Journalist-in-Residence Bill Baker, Ph.D. Named Nation’s Best Journalism Educator


NewsPro magazine has named William F. Baker, Ph.D., one of the nation’s best journalism educators. The distinction will be announced in their January issue.

Dr. Baker is the Claudio Acquaviva Chair and director of the Bernard L. Schwartz Center for Media, Public Policy at the Graduate School of Education. He has also served as the CEO for the Educational Broadcasting Corporation and president emeritus of WNET. In addition, Dr. Baker has been named to the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences Management and the Broadcasting and Cable Halls of Fame. He has won seven Emmys and two Columbia DuPont Journalism awards.
