Dr. Kristen Hawley Turner will receive the Conference on English Leadership (CEL) Innovation Leadership Award 2016 at the National Council of Teachers of English Annual Convention.
The Conference on English Leadership (CEL) offers a collaborative, dynamic, discussion-based forum for literacy leaders to explore current and emerging issues. The CEL Innovation Award recognizes those who have demonstrated innovative leadership in approaches to teaching and/or professional development.
Dr. Turner’s research focus on the intersections between technology and literacy. She also founded and manages the Fordham Digital Literacies Collaborative, a professional development group dedicated to helping teachers integrate technology into the classroom.
